eBay Germany Enhancements for Commercial Sellers Coming This Summer
eBay Germany is set to introduce a range of enhancements for commercial sellers this summer, following the success of targeting private sellers. Andreas Häntsch, responsible for commercial trade at eBay Germany, has shared exciting news for commercial sellers, aimed at further strengthening their business on eBay.
Häntsch highlighted the upcoming improvements to Seller Cockpit Pro, making it easier for sellers to create new purchase incentives. Additionally, practical tools such as product research via the eBay app and an updated messaging system in the desktop version will enhance communication with buyers.
Advertising Cockpit
The renowned name in German ecommerce, eBay, has completely revamped its advertising offerings for German sellers, simplifying access to advertising formats. The tools have been technically optimized to provide more data and control options for creating and optimizing campaigns. The new advertising cockpit promises an intuitive and data-optimized approach to advertising on eBay.
‘Advertising becomes more intuitive and data-optimized.’
In response to feedback from retailers during eBay roadshows in various German cities, the marketplace has introduced new features such as a search function in messages and improvements in returns processing in collaboration with DHL. eBay Germany has also announced new partnerships with Deutsche Post and Orange Connex to enhance logistics.
Private Sellers
Earlier this year, eBay introduced initiatives to promote trade between German consumers on its platform, resulting in a double-digit increase in the number of private sellers. The elimination of selling costs has contributed to this growth. With eBay Lokal catering to the local trade trend, eBay sees significant potential in the German C2C market alongside commercial trade (B2C).
